Anthony proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and completed three tours in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He was also a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal.
Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Louis Joseph Votava, mother, Mary Elizabeth Spell, brother, Dennis Spell, and sister, Janet Sheets.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife and junior high school sweetheart, Gloria Jean Howell Votava; son, Christopher Votava, Sr.; daughter, Erin Benoit; step-daughter, Kimberly Cormier; sisters, Roxie Bouroughs and Joan Bradley; grandchildren, Kailey Morgan, Sahvanna Davis, Christopher Votava Jr, Cameron Morales, and Haley Votava; great-grandchildren, Isabelle Faith Carter, Lillian Rae Myers, and Christopher Votava III; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 2nd at 2:00 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake, LA.
