Barbara Jo Gobert

Barbara Jo Smith Gobert, 76, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019. She was born May 3,1942 in Shreveport to Robert Marion Smith and Mary Lucille Strickland Smith. The family moved to Maplewood in 1943, since that time, Barbara Jo has resided in the Maplewood/Sulphur area. She attended School in Maplewood from 1948 - 1959, then attended Sulphur High School and graduated with the Class of 1961. She was employed for 11 years and 10 months with Hollier's Cajun Kitchen of Sulphur and retired on June 27, 2009.

Barbara Jo is survived by three sons, Michael J. Gobert and wife Mary Ann, Steven D Gobert, and Jamie R. Gaynard and wife Robyn; six grandchildren, Miranda Lynn Gobert, Robert Bruce Gobert, Sean Edward Gobert, Ethan Ray Gaynard, Adam Joseph Gaynard and Jack Edward Gaynard.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and former husbands, Charles Earl Gobert and Willie Ray Gaynard.
