Bernard lived in Southwest Louisiana since 2005, moving from Wheatland, Wyoming. He attended Our Lady of Lasallette Catholic Church in Sulphur. He was proud to be a union electrician.
Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years Wanda Watson of Moss Bluff; sons, William Watson and his wife Laure, of Tampa, Florida, Kevin Watson and his wife Nancy, of Cleveland, Ohio; daughter Lynn Ols of Hilton Head, South Carolina; stepsons, Thomas Wing, Jr. and his wife Dee, of Moss Bluff, David Wing and his wife Amie, of Gouverneur, New York, Michael Wing of Moss Bluff and Brian Wing of Sulphur; 21 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his sisters Peggy O'Sullivan and her husband Brendon, and Agnes Barder and her husband Mark; and parents William and Mary Watson.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Newlin Cemetery in Singer. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday with a rosary at 7 p.m., and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.
