

Bonnie Jeghers King was born on August 24, 1927 in the Beulah community of Sulphur to Roland Jeghers, Sr. and Inez Baukman. She was a charter member of Houston River Baptist Church. She was a very loving and caring person; we were very blessed to have her in our lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Earl Dean King; three brothers, Roland Jr.(Buddy) and Glynn Jeghers of Sulphur and Robert (Bobby) Jeghers of Lake Charles.
Survivors include daughter Linda Blackwelder and husband Earl; son Tommy Dean King and wife Cindy of Sulphur, La; and daughter Anne King and husband Vernon of Palestine, Tx. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was a Sunday School teacher to 3 and 4 year old children for many years. She also served with the WMU, was the church librarian, and served in the church kitchen. She loved her Lord and her family and enjoyed being surrounded by her grandchildren. Some of her favorite activities included crocheting, helping with gardening, fishing, reading, and listening to classic country music.
Visitation will be at Houston River Baptist Church in Sulphur on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Houston River Baptist Church from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Burial will be in Royer Cemetery in Sulphur.
