

He was a lifelong resident of Carlyss. Buddy retired from Fredeman’s Shipyard after 43 years of service. He was a graduate of Sulphur High School and was a very active member of FFA Sulphur Chapter and Sulphur High Rodeo. He also helped establish the Choupique Rodeo and later attended LSU in Lafayette. Buddy enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, working in his shops, woodworking, gardening and loved spending time with his family.
Buddy is survived by his wife, Debra Chaumont LeDoux of Carlyss; his three daughters, Dianna Thibodeaux and husband Earl of Carlyss, Liz Brewton and husband Bob of Sulphur, and Gwen Hebert and husband Jimmy of Carlyss; one stepson, Adam Ardoin and wife Amanda of Carlyss; one sister, Sharon LeDoux Denton and husband Norman “Doggie” of Carlyss, special cousins, Norma Jean Castille and husband Leroy of Carlyss; special nephew, Joshua Aaron Terziu and wife Laura of Lake Charles; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mabel LeDoux; his first wife, Linda Martin LeDoux; and one brother, Glen Ray LeDoux.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Ernie Corriveau, M.S. will officiate. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Friday with a rosary service at 7 p.m. and will continue from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday in the funeral home.
