

He was a Louisiana State Representative from 1980 -1986 and was a member of the judiciary committee. He served as the Lake Charles Port Director in 1986. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of the 3rd degree for 62 years and 28 years in the 4th degree. He was a life time member in the V.F.W. 8107 and the American Legion Post 179. He was member of Saint Theresa Council 3058 and was Eucharistic minister for many years and an instructor in the R.C.I.A. He was a Cursiesta. He retired after 30 years with Firestone. He was a past member of the Lions Club and was involved in Toast Masters International. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was fondly known as “Uncle Burt” to 3 or 4 generations of children.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Thelma Perrodin Andrepont; one son William S. Clark; two brothers, Albert A. Andrepont, Markel H. Andrepont; one sister, Betty Andrepont Sonnier; he is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Lee and Agnes “Kat Elkins” Andrepont; two brother, Leander Andrepont and John H. Andrepont; paternal grandparents, Arnold and Marie Richard Andrepont; maternal grandparents, Albert and Martha Olivier Elkins; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017 in Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss, Louisiana. Father Luke Krzanowski, MS will be officiating. Visitation will be in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on Friday evening, December 22 from 5- 9- p.m. and continue from 8:30 a.m. in the chapel until service in the church. Burial will be in the Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss. The family wishes to thank Doctor Kevin Schlamp his primary physician and good friend and Doctor David Chang and the staff of Saint Patrick’s Hospice and all others for their compassion and care during his time of illness.
