

Pee Wee worked at Citgo for over 39 years as a Boilermaker. He loved gardening, fishing, reading, watching old westerns, traveling, and camping. He was also a LSU and Saints football fan, and enjoyed having his children and grandchildren over to watch the game. Pee Wee was known for his sense of humor and loved to pick with people. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed greatly.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Erline Drounette; three daughters, Debbie Parker and husband, Ricky, Carla Palumbo and fiance', Daren Hudson, and Kimberlie Gatte and husband, John; seven grandchildren, Cory, Derrick, James, Haley, Jessica, Kallie, and Brodey; a brother, Wallace Drounette and wife, Stella; a brother-in-law, Fulton Manuel and wife, Norma Jean; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Scott and husband, Alec, and Elaine Armer; five great-grandchildren and one on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lena Drounette, and son-in-law, Tommy Palumbo.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Chapel. Reverend Luke Krzanowski will officiate. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss. Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday 9 a.m. until service time all at the funeral home.
