She was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur. Carol enjoyed playing Bingo, dancing, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Our Lady of Lasalette Catholic Church and the American Legion.
Survivors include her children, Joseph Viator and wife, Cami, Keith Viator and wife, Lacy, and Cindy Covert and husband, Mark, all of Sulphur; her sisters, Rose Mays, Mary Vincent, and Brenda Browning all of Sulphur, and Virginia "Jenny" Jones of Lake Charles; her grandchildren, Ashley Contreras (Juan), Brooke Jones (Tyrell), Joseph Viator, Jr. (Arie), Scott Evans, Brittney Evans, Nevaeh Burke, and Olivia Viator; and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Ray Wright; her parents, Valentine "Tiny" and Laura "Sis" Bell Vincent O'Quain; her siblings, Stella "Peanut" Trahan, Betty Shanabarger, and Larry O'Quain; great-grandson, Juan Antonio Contreras, Jr; and her former spouse and father of her children, Dutch Viator.
Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Deacon Patrick LaPointe will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Pallbearers will be Juan Contreras, Tyrell Jones, Joseph Viator, Jr, Sam Browning, Kenneth Browning, Johnny O'Quain, Jr, Adam Sheridan, and Scott Evans. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday in the funeral home.
