My heart is saddened. I just saw this. This woman of life and Love was THE BEST ART CAMP COORDINATOR ever !! And one of the kindest souls at Immaculate Conception Church- always smiling and sharing God’s joy with everyone she met

May her soul rest with all

Mrs Charlene...such a sweet soul. I only knew you a short time during your stay at Grand Cove, but I cherished your friendship. Many evenings of conversation, your bigger than life smile, your makeup, and your tremendous love for your family!! The sadness the day before your discharge home because I would miss our daily visits but also the excitement in your eyes because you were going home!! I always hope to impact people's lives in a positive way, but I am always left with the biggest impact! Love & will miss you!! Condolences & prayers going out to your family.

Our favorite Miss Charlene turned into our “Aunt Charlene” when my twin sister married into the family. Before that she already felt like family. After the numerous sleepovers and get togethers with Tiffany and friends, she became a fixture in our lives. She would sneak in advice and giggles as much as she could and would always throw the best party ever! Charlene will be greatly missed by people of many age groups and walks of life. She just had that kind of soul. Sending love and prayers to her precious family.

Charlene was one of my all time favorite people. I met her early in my career and was fortunate to work with her at WW Lewis for a while as well as with the Summer Arts Camp program in Calcasieu for several years. Those summers were so much fun with Dan Vidrine, Sally Babin and my SIL, Lisa Jakel. Lots of laughs with that gang. One of my favorite times with her was going to NYC on a student tour with Sam Houston students. Charlene always knew the great places to go, eat and tour! I saw my first Broadway play with her. Our friendship and professional ties lasted until her death. Students and colleagues alike adored her. She was one remarkably talented woman whose personality stood a level above most. I’m truly gonna miss this gal. One of a kind...❤️
