

Chase was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. He loved rapping, spending time with his friends and family, and was an avid LSU fan. Chase will be remembered as a loving person with a strong work ethic and a very bright soul. He never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother and step-father, Roxanne Chesson-Burge and Donald Doucet of Sulphur; dad, Kasey Welch, Sr. of Hackberry; grandparents, Lana Chesson of Sulphur, J.D. and Emilie Doucet of Sulphur, and Anderson and Connie Welch of Hackberry; step-siblings, Victoria Burge of Lake Charles, and Ashton Doucet, Nikki Doucet, and Grant Doucet, all of Sulphur; his brother, Kasey Welch, Jr. of Hackberry; aunts and uncles, Brenda Chesson of Lake Charles, John Chesson and wife, Bridget of Lake Charles, Chris Chesson and wife, Tiffany of DeRidder, Vaughn Chesson of Sulphur, James Koonce and wife, Denise of Houston, Texas, Todd Ardoin and wife, Susan of Vidrine, Martin Doucet of Sulphur, Donna Darbonne and husband, Keith of Hackberry, and Michael Pinney of Borger, Texas; numerous cousins; and many close friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Claude Chesson; and great-grandmother, Jane Koonce.
His funeral will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the funeral service.
