Darryl John Ledet

Darryl was a native of Lake Charles where he lived all his life. He retired from Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office after about 20 years of service. In 1994 he married his best friend and love of his life Jessie Wanamaker. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He was a member of New Life Worship Center of Moss Bluff. Darryl was a Godly man who loved the Lord with all his heart. His warm smile and gentleness will truly be missed by all who love and knew him. He was crazy about his grandchildren/children and loved spending time with them. He loved to cook, grill, and being outdoors.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 21 years, Jessie Ledet; 3 daughters, Kayla Jourdan, Chandel White and husband, Derrick, Sheyenne Camp and husband, Rory; 2 sisters, Carolyn Henry and Paula Ledet all of Lake Charles; Mother-in-law,1 sister-in-law and 1 brother-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Gertrude Ledet.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 2pm Saturday, October 24, in New Life Worship Center in Moss Bluff. The Rev. Danny Moore and Rev. Robert Kratzer will officiate.
