David Wayne Oakley

He was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur. David worked for Devall Towing for many years as a Tankerman. He was a jack-of-all-trades and enjoyed working on vehicles.

Survivors include his mother, Vicki Lyons and husband, Huey of Sulphur; his sister, Jessica Oakley of Sulphur; his grandfather, Lloyd Oakley of Carlyss; his nephew, Jayce Haines; his step-mother, Heather Oakley; and several aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his father, Curtis Oakley; and his grandparents.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, August 22, in Dutch Cove Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Words of comfort and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com for the Oakley family.
