Words will never change a feeling when losing a loved one, but words can help the loved ones left behind with comfort, love, support, and healing of the heart n mind. 
Our families have known each other since we were little kids. Been a while since we have all been together but like so many others know time doesn’t skip when you run into him or the family. You pick up like no time has passed. He had a beautiful smile that would just make you smile. Remember our childhood with my childhood best friend Danielle and all of them. Playing foil baseball or whatever sport outside. Never a dull moment! Even Danielle and I going watch him and Cody skate at the Skate Park by Petro bowl, or the one off 90 in sulphur. This world lost a good person something this world needs more of. Another Angel looking down from heaven.

Not the man, not the myth, but the legend, always hyping everyone and everything up, Always putting the smile on people’s faces, that’s the Dewel everyone will remember. All the good times, all the awesome adventures will be missed. Shred the halfpipe in the sky for us all!

I will never forget Dewel driving from Sulphur to Lake Charles just to sit with me and talk for hours. We shared so much about each other. I shared things with him that I was too afraid to express to anyone else. Even if he had work at 6 am (Miss Carol please don’t be upset that I kept him all those nights, promise I couldn’t have changed his mind) he stayed and talked with me for as long as we wanted. Dewel was the first person that looked at me and really saw me. Such a character and we never stopped laughing when we were in the presence of one another. We lost touch as life does that from time to time. His friendship and our times together were never absent from my heart and I will forever cherish all the times we shared the same headphones to listen to Modest Mouse. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Just know my boy I love you and will always remember the great times we had together. This mustache tattoo means so much to me now since your gone. Make sure to give dad, uncle Dewey a big hug right now cause it wasn’t for y’all I wouldn’t be the person I am now, and always remember it’s a bourge thing❤️

It’s so crazy that you’re no longer here but we’ll never forget you, your smile and your crazy jokes or stories. It’s going to be weird going to family functions and holidays without you there cracking a joke. Fly high big cousin! There’s no doubt you, your dad and my dad are causing a scene up there!!!! We all love you ♥️

This is heavy on me and my wife. It’s so much for me to type, I was always there for him in any situation the best I could, no matter what. Over 25 years he has been the best friend I could ever ask for. My boy never let me down and always made me laugh. We both visited each other’s fathers graves. Never a dull moment with us around! No one could ever replace you bro. One of a kind. I’ll see you around big dawg. Look over us 🤙🏽

Dewel had the best smile that always reached his eyes. His heart was so full of love.  The best memory I had with Dewel was when he drove me to the airport in Nola. We had just met and only new him for a few hrs when he agreed to drive me for his brother. Without hesitation he drone me 3 and a half hrs. We laughed so hard the whole way. He had a crazy way of making you feel like you new him your whole life.  After that day we always messed around making jokes. He was my brother and no matter the love we shared ran deep. Till the day we can I see you again. Miss you. 

The amount of memory’s i have with dewel is too much to be able to write fully. 
favorite memory would have to be all late drives. and random skate adventures. i will cherish all the laughs and amazing times till the end of time

I’ve got a mountain of good memories of Dewel and have experienced some of life’s funnest moments with him. I’ve always enjoyed how our birthdays were so close together and every year since I’ve known Dewel he’d always go out of his way to wish me a happy birthday. 

He was a real good friend of my son's.Last time I talked to him was right after my son Corey passed away in May he told me that Corey was his best friend. Rip Dewel
