Sulphur- Dorothy Peak, 89, died Sunday, December 20, 2015, in a local care center.
She was a native of East Carondelet, Illinois and had been a resident of Sulphur for over 55 years. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Dorothy loved to take care of her family.
Survivors include her children, Larry Edward Peak of Houston, Texas and Alice June Collins of Shreveport; four grandchildren, Nathan Collins, Wendy Brooks and husband, Rusty, Paul Peak II, and Jennifer O'Brian and husband, Jason; and one great-granddaughter, Addison Kay O'Brian. She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Paul Benjamin Peak; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Peak; son-in-law, Stephen Collins; and her brother, Walter Hoffman.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, in Westminster Presbyterian Church. Pastors Erich and Leslie Mansell will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
