

She was a native and lifelong resident of the Sulphur area. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and the Calcasieu Cutups. She retired from West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital as secretary and office manager after many years of service.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Henry Benjamin "Ben" Ferguson of Carlyss; two sons, David Benjamin Ferguson and wife, Kay of Sulphur and Edwin James "Ed" Ferguson and wife, Debbie of Colorado; two daughters, Cherie Ann Otis and husband, Bill of Moss Bluff and Lori Sue Vincent and husband, Mike of Sulphur; one brother, Earnest O'Quinn of Groves, Texas; one sister, Mary Myers of Sulphur; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Julia O'Quinn; two sons, Bryan Christopher Ferguson and Mark Blaine Ferguson; a daughter, Grace Lyn Ferguson; a sister, Maudie Ammerman; and a brother, Jessie O'Quinn.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2011, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Deacon Maurice Serice will officiate. Burial will be in Farquhar Cemetery. Visitation is from 3-9 p.m. Sunday with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home.
