

Glyn Ann was born to Mable and Glenn Goodbar in Caney, Kansas, a long time ago. She moved to Sulphur in 1949 so that her husband Kenneth could work at the Cities Service Refinery. She was a loving mother and homemaker who returned to college when her children were in school. She recieved a BA in Elementary Education and later a Masters Degree in Library Science. She taught for 10 years at R.W. Vincent Elementary School. She was a lifetime member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority where she was active for many years in various community projects. She was an avid reader, scrabble player and gardner. Ann was very active in the First Baptist Church of Sulphur for over sixty years. (Yes, 60.) She was our moral compass, and was the glue that held our family together, our rock when we needed strength as well as our soft place to fall. We'll never think of her without a smile on our faces.
She instilled a lot of joy and love in all those she left behind. Her daughter, Linda A. Cooley; her son, Mike Kline and his wife Linda; her granddaughter Leah Broussard and husband Jeremy and sons Riley and August Blue; great granddaughter Allyson Cooley and her daughter Emberlly; great grandson Brant Joel Cooley, all of Lake Charles; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mable and Glenn Goodbar, two brothers, Ronnie and Jim Goodbar, all of Coffeyville, Kansas; her loving husband Kenneth Kline and her granddaughter Tracy Renee Cooley.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, in the First Baptist Church of Sulphur. The Rev. David Holder will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the church.
