

He was a lifetime resident of Sulphur and a member of Our Lady LaSalette Catholic Church. He served his country in the Korean War with the U.S. Army, and was a member of the American Legion. He was the owner and operator of Bud’s Paint / Body Shop for 40 years. In 1990 he retired from the US Postal Service after 30 years of service. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Eva Ann Breaux; four children, Alfred Breaux, Melissa Tarver and her husband Tim, Karen Sullivan and her husband, Pat, Brian Breaux and his wife Michelle; one sister Jennie Brankline and her husband Bob; one brother Samuel Breaux and his wife Letty; 10 grandchildren, Brian Saltzman and his wife Amy, Justin Saltzman and his wife Chelsea and Lindsey, Aidan and Kensington Breaux, Allison, Alex and Ashley Breaux, Abigail and Shelby Sullivan; and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Audi Saltzman.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alphonse and Callie Breaux, brothers James Breaux and Louis Breaux and sister Betty Lou Hilton.
His funeral will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 18, 2010 from Our Lady LaSalette Church under direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Father Jim Winiarski will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 4 until 8 pm with the reciting of the rosary at 6:30 pm led by Deacon Johnny Mounce and from 8 am until 9:30 am on Saturday.
Pallbearers are nephews Tommy, Larry and Sam Breaux, Jim & Brad Qualls, Trent Lawrence and Kelly Vincent.
