James Daniel Labove III, 46, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. He was born on March 17, 1978 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. James was raised in Vinton, Louisiana where he graduated in 1996 and worked for Delta Downs for about 10 years. After leaving Delta Downs, he went to work for Booth Environmental Services where he was an environmental technician supervisor. He loved rock concerts, fishing, traveling, and being apart of his children's sporting events. He was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and very proud of his gun collection, especially his Springfield 1911 45. Most importantly, he loved his family and was very proud of his children.
He is survived by his loving wife, Krystal LaBove; three children, Bryson LaBove, Keely LaBove, and Briley LaBove; one sister, Felicia Robinson; niece, Latasha Robinson (Christian Kiefer); nephews, Justin and Kenzie Robinson, Anthony Anderson, Jr., and Chaz Anderson; great niece, Kinley; great nephews, Jameson, Nicholas, Reese; sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Jasma Anderson (Anthony), Brittni Shabazz, Randy Lassien; mother and father-in-laws, Michael and Verneal Young, James Randell, Jr.; and a host of friends and family.
James is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jean Dean; along with his brother, Golden Lewis Robinson, Jr..
A Celebration of James' life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial in Sulphur, Louisiana on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 10:00 am, with Minister Mark Lassien officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial on Monday, beginning at 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Vinton, Louisiana.
