

Jessie served in World War II as a wielder in the shipyards in New Orleans for the ships to land on Normandy Beach. She enjoyed traveling and playing bingo. She retired from Borden's Ice Cream and Milk Company.
Jessie is survived by her three daughters; Carolyn Lou Cessford and husband Curtis of Houston, Texas, Jessie Annette Koonce of Sulphur, Yvonne Watkins of Dover, Tennessee; one sibling, Ramona Rodgers of Coushatta, Louisiana; ten grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Henry Richardson and Decie Mitchell; husband of 25 years, Leland Doolan; sisters, Charlene Lewing, Ruby Monroe, JoAnn Young and Marie Nelson; brother, Glenn Richardson.
Her funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Gijo Ikkaramattom, HGN., will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, October 23, 2017 from 5-9 p.m. at Hixson Sulphur Memorial Chapel with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. with visitation to continue from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
