Jimmie was a Sulphur native and attended the Sulphur Church of Christ. He was a self employed electrician, carpenter and plumber most of his life. Jimmie was an avid bow and gun hunter, fisherman and woodworker.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Bonnie Everett; sons, James R. Everett, Jeffrey L. Everett and wife Ann, Shannon D. Everett and wife Teresa, and Branson C. Everett, all of Sulphur; daughter Lalinda Battin of Sulphur; brother Dan Everett of Sulphur; sister Arlene Shores of Houston; grandchildren Dana, David, Colton, Bubba, Bethany, and Everett; and great grandchildren, Bryce and Braylen.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
