John Vernon Landry Jr.

John Vernon Landry, Jr., 61, of Westlake, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. He was born to his late parents, John Sr. and Dorothy Landry on January 12, 1964 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He loved playing horseshoes, fishing, cooking, and loved getting together with his buddies.

He is survived by his companion, Melissa "Missy" Squibb; daughter, Jessica Viator (John) of Longville; siblings, James Landry (Joann) of Plaquemine, Louisiana, Joann Bayham of Gross Tete, Louisiana, Darlene Marie Grant of Lake Charles, Wanda “Sam” Ann Granger (Jeffrey) of Lake Charles, Frederick “Fred” Landry (Lesa) of Carlyss, Justin Landry (Dawn) of Sulphur, Jason Landry (Jeanie) of Westlake, Bruce Landry (Kathryn) of Westlake, Joshua “Josh” Allen Jeanice (Jerri) of Crowley, and Brandy Stelly of Odessa, Texas; along with three grandchildren, Kambria “Kammi” Smith (Aidan) of Moss Bluff, and Jonnie Gayle Viator and KodiAnne Marie Viator, both of Longville.

John is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Joseph Landry, Sr., and Alisa Landry.

A Graveside Celebration of John's life will be held at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake, Louisiana on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 10:00 am, with Reverend Jeffrey Starkovich officiating.
