John Garen Long

Garen was a loving father, son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend who will be greatly missed.

Those left behind to cherish his memories are two daughters, Sinae Skie Long and Laylin Star Long of Josephine, Tx; mother, Tonette M. Andre’Pont and fiancé, Chris Michie of Lake Charles; father, Garen Tedd Long of Titusville, FL; maternal grandmother, Reba Dowies Andre’Pont of Lake Charles; sister, Amanda Lynn Eshleman and husband, Reid of Anna, Tx; sister, Callie Cherie Moseley and husband, Perry of Melissa, Tx; sister, Mikaela Salene Williams of Garland, Tx; nephew, Josh Moseley of Melissa, Tx; niece, Aston Eshleman of Anna, Tx; Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Tedd and Lois Hebert Long, and maternal grandfather, John Hugh Andre’Pont.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Chapel. Reverend Roger Templeton will officiate.
