Joseph & Evelyn Chaisson

Joseph "Joe" Chaisson, age 72, and Evelyn Dale (Black) Chaisson, age 66, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away peacefully together at a local hospital on Friday, August 27, 2021. Joe was born on January 9, 1949 in Sulphur, Louisiana and Evelyn was born on July 1, 1955 in Sulphur, Louisiana.

Joe served in the Army from 1969-1975. Evelyn was a homemaker and made sure her family was taken care of. They were loving and devoted parents to their two daughters. The best grandparents to their five grandchildren. There wasn't anything that they wouldn't do for them. They will be missed greatly.

Joe and Evelyn were preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Adless Chaisson, her father, Dudley Hebert, her mother, Ethel Berry, Joe's brothers, Howard Chaisson and Robert Broussard, Evelyn's brother, Kenneth Hebert; Evelyn's sisters, Brenda James and Dolores Meadows.

Those left behind to cherish their memory are two loving daughters, Nikki (Matt) Jensen and Mandie Thompson; grandchildren, Jaycee, Remington, and Rhett Thompson, Layne and Raelyn Jensen; Joe's brothers, Stanley and Raymond Chaisson; Joe's sisters, Helen Chaisson, Janelle LeDoux, and Lucy O'quain; Evelyn's sister, Mary Demeritt; and numerous nieces, nephews, and God children.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Chapel with a Rosary beginning at 1:40 p.m.

A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Chapel. Celebrant, Jody Barrilleaux will lead services.
