Joyce Marie McDowell

Joyce has been a resident of Hackberry for more than 30 years. She enjoyed cooking, being at home and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Survivors include her three children, Gary "G" Fountain and wife, Shelley of Hackberry, William "Billy" Fountain of Hackberry, and Crystal Fountain Gray and husband, Toby of Sulphur; five grandchildren, Cody Fountain, Bailey Beard, Dylan Gray, Macy Gray, and Rebecca Gary; three siblings, Leon Laughlin and wife, Brenda, Clayton Laughlin both of Hackberry, and Lois Ann Breaux and husband, "Cowboy" of Sulphur; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Fountain, parents, Leo and Gladys Laughlin, and four siblings, Kenneth, Maryann, Bill, and Vicky.

Funeral services will be 2:30 Thursday, December 10, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Hackberry with Rev. Monty Rowse officiating. Burial will follow in New Hackberry Cemetery under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
