He was a native of Midland, Louisiana and had been a resident of Sulphur for over 50 years. Lawrence enjoyed family BBQ's, spending time with his grandchildren, and in his earlier years, he like to deer hunt. He loved the Lord with all of his heart and loved sharing God's word when he could.
Survivors include his children, Judy Wallace (Reggie) of Alexandria, Kathy Smith and husband, Mark of Moss Bluff, Roxie Daigle and husband, Ronnie, Larry Breaux (JoAnn Teel) of Sulphur, Terry Engle and husband, Walt of Leesburg, Ohio, and Reyna Quebodeaux and husband, Wayne of Carlyss; his sister, Charlotte Newman; seventeen grandchildren, Timothy McMinn, Jimmy McMinn, Nicole Donovan, Danny Brand, Scott Ross, Damon Ross, Dewayne Milligan, Brent Daigle, Bryan Daigle, Chad Vidrine, Cody Breaux, Mandy Areno, James Higgins, Andrew Higgins, Justin Quebodeaux, Brandon Quebodeaux, and Katie Carpenter; forty-six great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lenora Breaux; his son, Randy Breaux, granddaughters, Shanna Shields and Johnie Quebodeaux; his parents, Drozan and Ada Breaux; and his siblings, Neva Breaux, Inis Marshall, Myrtle Dorman, Hallet Breaux, and Curtis Breaux.
A Celebration of Lawrence's Life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 29, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Pastor Jeanne Gunter will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday in the funeral home.
