Mama, it doesn't seem possible that a year has passed since u left us. How many times have I picked up the phone to call you abt some news or heartbreak, and remembered u were not there.  I can still hear u call me San.  I think of you so often. I am thankful you taught me to sing as a baby really. You participated in every church activity when I was young showing me how to b a part of good fellowship and prayer. You were always beautiful in my eyes. Your hair was gorgeous, even up to the day u died. So thick and so much body. I miss u more than I can say. I love my mama!!!

Mama was such a kind soul. She loved everyone and didnt want to offend anyone. She took in everyone as family and held all her family dear to her. She enjoyed having company come by and visit.   Her main concern was her hair and how it looked. She never wanted to leave her house without her hair curled and fixed to perfection.  She was talented in singing, writing and art. She always wanted her house decorated for each holiday and she loved a beautifully set table. Traveling was one of her favorite past times. She still drove to Oklahoma in her 80’s by herself. All  Evelyn and I could do was pray for her safety. 
My earliest memory was of mom leading the “booster band” at church and her praying in her room. She instilled a heart for God in her young children.  So many things flash through my mind. Her playing the accordion, the piano, singing in trios and quartets for many years, forgoing extras for herself so her kids could have clothes at the holidays. So many good memories I have of mana. I will always love and appreciate every sacrifice she made for me and her family.

Such a sweet gentle soul. She will be missed.

So sorry for the loss of the mother my dear friend , Sandie ,  and Ashley loosing her grandmother- I did meet her on different occasions through the years - she was a lovely lady - she certainly raised a wonderful daughter, Sandie whom we love along with Ashley who is a very special young lady to us  - Our love and prayers to them today  and prayers of comfort for the entire family during this time of loss - May the Peace of God and comforter come to you all today and in the coming days

I remember the first day I met Marlene. Her and Pawpw had ran off to Orange to get married and then he called me to go meet her. Marlene not only became part of our family but also the great grandmother to my children. I will always remember her piety towards God, love of family,  and her modest demeanor.

Gigi had the biggest, sweetest heart. She loved us and our babies like we were her own. She will be greatly missed 🩷

Grandma love us all so much! Here is the first time my family got to meet Poppy. She was so happy and I remember being so thankful she had someone that loved her as he did. A beautiful day and wonderful memory.
