Louis Wayne Stroderd

Louis Wayne Stroderd, 78, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026. He was born to his late parents, Tansy and Verla Stroderd on May 14, 1947 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and taking care of his yard. He was a proud graduate of McNeese State University as an Electrical Engineer. He worked in local industry for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donna Stroderd; three sons, Clint Stroderd (Patricia) of Sulphur, Clay Stroderd (Stephanie) of Carlyss, and Craig Stroderd (Christa) of Austin, Texas; siblings, Donald Stroderd (Carol) and Phyllis Stroderd both of Carlyss. He was a proud Pop to his grandchildren: Arden LeJune (Wyatt) and Austin Stroderd; Madison Louviere (Ryan), Hailey Stroderd, Allie Stroderd, and Asher Stroderd, and his great granddaughter, Margot Louviere; along with his grandson, Cal Stroderd.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Marlene Manuel

A Celebration of Wayne's life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home in Sulphur on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Jody LaFleur officiating. Visitation will begin at the funeral home on Friday, beginning at 11:00 am until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Victory Worship Center in Sulphur and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
