Bingo….. We hit the jackpot today, I checked the paper today and low and behold I am in it. I lost my short battle with cancer on May 17th, 2016 at the age of 75 at my residence with my family at my side to wish me peace in to my next journey.
I was the seventh child born to Allen and Anita (Granger) Ardoin on December 30th 1940, in Welsh, LA.
I lived my entire life in SWLA.
I met the love of my life Willis Quibodeaux and married in 1957 and making our home in Carlyss, LA. We raised 6 children; Mary, Willis, Dana, Charlotte, John and Jeanette.
I drove the Special Education School bus for 30 years for the Calcasieu Parish School Board.
Upon my retirement, I enjoyed the simple life; sitting on the front porch drinking coffee, visiting with family and friends, playing Bingo on Wednesday’s and Friday’s at the American Legion, playing Cadillac on Sunday afternoons, going to the casino, watching the kids\grandkids playing in the front yard, cooking gardening and volunteering my time with many social events.
I have something to ask of you today if you will. Please remember my dear loved ones today, tomorrow and the days to come. This is a really hard time for them all. My siblings: Gilford Ardoin, Anita Joyce Young, Elizabeth Nelson and Paul Ardoin. My five children: Willis Quibodeaux-Carlyss, LA, Dana (Marion) Foster-Pensicola, FL, Charlotte (Ken) Sims-Sulphur, LA, John (Tamera)Quibodeaux-Sulphur, LA and Jeanette (Kerry) Lawson-Pensicola, FL.
