

Margaret was a native of Oklahoma and has resided in Johnson Bayou for over 48 years. She retired after 35 years as owner of Young's Grocery in Johnson Bayou. She enjoyed playing Bingo, loved people and was often a caretaker of others. She will be remembered as a special mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her greatest joy was her family and she loved having her children living around her.
Survivors include her four children, Lynora "Lynn" Griffith, Phillip Young and wife Charlene, Paul Young and wife Trudy, and Mark Young and wife April all of Johnson Bayou; sister, Melba Eikenbary of Jennings, OK; and brother at heart, David Blackburn of Sand Springs, OK; 14 grandchildren, Nicole Haynie and husband Dwayne, Megan Guillory and husband Scott, Lauren Rivero and husband Carlos, Cheyenne Sandifer and husband Dominique, Michael Fewell and wife Amanda, Ian Griffith, Adam Young and wife Megan, Katie Young, Kandace Manning and husband Michael, Morgan West, Aaron Jinks, Keylee Young, Gracie Young, and Abby Young; and 14 great-grandchildren, Conner, Hallie, Evan, Gabby, Madison, Dallas, Parker, Heidi, Duncan, Charley, Paisley, Trevor, Lainey and Allie.
She is preceded in death by her son, Roger Blackburn; parents, Lynn and Lavina Rogers; sister, Mildred Ingersoll; and brothers, Ronald Rogers and Forest Rogers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 28 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Jack Gandy will officiate. Visitation will be held 4 - 9 p.m. Tuesday with a recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m., and will resume Wednesday at 8 a.m. until time of service.
