Merline Wright

Merline was a native of Crowley, Louisiana and lived in Hackberry for the last 50 years.

She worked at Hebert’s Western Store for 22 years. She enjoyed the time she spent with the hunters and the fishermen at the camp.

Survivors include her Life Partner of 26 years, J. Smokey Korn of Hackberry; her brother, Donald Kibodeaux and his wife, Vickie of Crowley; her six step-children, Juanita Williams of Atkins, AR, Cary Korn of Tulsa, OK, Kim Piantino and husband, Rob of Sobieski, WI, Nathan White of Morrilton, AR, Cheryl Leurquin of Green Bay, WI and David White of Mena, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanville Kibodeaux Jr. and Cecile Daigle Kibodeaux; brothers, Allen Kibodeaux, and Michael Kibodeaux.

Her funeral will be 1:00pm Saturday, July 23rd, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Hackberry. The Rev. Monty Rowse will officiate.Visitation will begin Friday, 4:00pm-9:00pm at the church and will resume Saturday 9am until service.
