He was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur. He was a 1973 graduate of Sulphur High School where he proudly played on the football team. Michael worked many years as an Instrumentation Technologist for W.R. Grace until his retirement 5 years ago. He enjoyed deer hunting, cooking, watching football, and ordering Door Dash with his grandsons.
Survivors include his daughter, Britney Milam (Michael Gibbs) of Sulphur; his sister, Rosamond Milam Blanchard of Lacassine; his brother, James "Jim" Milam of Texas; and his grandchildren, Jayce, Joshua, and Benson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Peggy Milam; and his former wife, Patricia Ann Milam.
A Celebration of Michael's Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home led by Hixson's Celebrant, Jody Tyler. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of service Saturday in the funeral home.
