She was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur. She was of the Baptist faith and loved attending church at the nursing home.
Survivors include her sister, Lois Miller and husband, James of DeQuincy; her brother, Larry Bertrand of Ball; her aunt, Audrey Moore; her uncle, Gene Landry; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bertha Bertrand; and siblings, Walter Bertrand, Jr. and Irma W. Bertrand.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur. Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday in the funeral home.
