Patricia Gail King

Patty was a native of Sulphur and a member of Houston River Baptist Church. Patty worked as a Teacher's Aid for D.S. Perkins/Cypress Cove.

Patty's heart was in Children's Ministry at Houston River Baptist Church. She severed as a Sunday School teacher for many years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edson Granger, mother, Libby Shipman ; sister, Debra Sonnier, sister-in-law, Delane Jones, and nephew, Caleb Koonce.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband, Gene King, Sr. of Sulphur; daughter, Sherry Leger and husband, Erin of Sulphur; son, Ron King, Jr. and wife, Emily of Calera, Alabama; four grandchildren, Kylie Doucet and husband, Corey, Macie Leger, Serenity and Vincent King; Great-grandchildren Bentley and Ella-Rose Leger ;brother, Kelley Jones of Deer Park, TX; sister, Donna Lunn and husband, Pete of Alvin, TX; sister, Mary Ann Koonce and husband, Jerry of Sulphur; brother, Dale Hernandez and wife, Jean of Sulphur; sister-in-law, Belinda Smith and husband, Glenn, brother-in-law, Don King, and wife, Debbie, sister-in-law, Cheryl Hudson and Randy; brother-in-law, Lewis King and wife, Dinah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and will resume at 9 a.m. until time of service on Friday at the church. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. at Houston River Baptist Church in Sulphur. Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly.
