Paul Daniel Monceaux

He was a native of Vinton and was a longtime resident of Sulphur. He was an avid sportsman and fisherman, and loved being outdoors. Paul was a graduate of Sulphur High School. He was a member of Waters Edge Church in Lake Charles. To Paul, his family was his life. To know him was to love him.

Survivors include his mother, Bobbi Beard Thomas and husband, David of Carlyss; his father, Dickey Monceaux and wife, Jovy of Sulphur; grandmother, Margaret Beard of Vinton; step-grandmother, Ruth Thomas of Sulphur; brothers, Chad Monceaux and wife, Susan and Josh Monceaux and wife, Danielle, all of Sulphur; step-brother, Jeremy Thomas and wife, Jennifer of California; step-sisters, Brandi Manuel and husband, Lenny of Lake Charles, and Nicole Monceaux of Sulphur; a very special friend, Mandie White of Nederland, Texas; nieces and nephews, Zachary, Avery, Ashtyn, Brittni, Bryce, and Zoe; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leroy Beard; and paternal grandparents, Alton and Belle Monceaux.

A celebration of Paul's life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 29, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Tony Bourque will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service friday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Waters Edge Church, 2760 Power Center Parkway, Lake Charles 70607.
