She was a native of Crowley and had been a resident of Vinton for over 40 years. Peggy was a Christian living her faith at Houston River Baptist Church. Her favorite saying was, "Make sure you have your reservations made". She loved sewing, crocheting, cooking, working in the yard, and showing pigs with her children. She had made blankets for many of her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 57 years, Dale Farley of Vinton; half-brother, James Keith Hoffpauir of Lake Charles; along with 3 grandsons, Marcus Logan Hohn, Dean Anthony Hohn and Morgan Andrew Hohn all of Nebraska.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Lillie Garrie; son, James Travis Farley; and daughter Carla Jean Hohn.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 2:00 pm in Houston River Baptist Church. Pastor Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 12 Noon until the time of service.
