Phillip "Butch" O'Quain Jr., 63, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. He was born on September 2, 1960 in Sulphur, Louisiana. Butch enjoyed fishing and traveling with his buddy, Rick Kinney. He always would lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.
He is survived by his fiance', Darla Perry; son, Phillip "Rudy" O'Quain, III (Crystal); daughter, Lakien Perry; step-son, Holden Perry; step-daughter, Jessica Lantier; two sisters, Betty Ann O'Quain and Betty Jean Lantier, all of Sulphur, Louisiana; eight grandchildren, Skyler Champagne, Kallie Lantier, Jaylen Perry, Addalynn Lantier, Chace and Chance O'Quain, Claire Perry, and Corbin Perry; three great grandchildren, Andrew Lantier, Barry Lantier, and NiKlaus Champagne; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Butch is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip, Sr. and Ovil O'Quain; son, Terry Justin O'Quain; along with two brothers, Leslie "Tobe" O'Quain and Terry "Coon" O'Quain.
A Celebration of Butch's life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 1:00 pm, with Hixson Celebrant Jody Tyler. Visitation will be at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, beginning at 11:30 am, with a Rosary at 12:30 pm, followed by the service at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Vinton, Louisiana.
