

Roy had a dentist practice in Sulphur where he worked for over 35 years and was a member of the ADA. He was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur where he served on the Board. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf after retiring. He was a devoted husband, loving father, uncle, grandfather and friend to many. Roy will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Betty Daigle; a son, Roy J. Daigle, II; Fiancee Vera Gish, grandchildren Trey Gish and Shadoe Williamson, a niece, Barbara Fontenot; great-nephews, Russell, Bert, Christopher Scott, and Mark Fontenot; and a great-niece and Godchild, Teresa Monique Marcantel, a cousin Robert Domingues Sr. and longtime friends Pete and Elaine Landry and daughter Bobbi Jo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eluis and Nola Daigle, and a brother, Bert Daigle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Father Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate. Interment will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss, Louisiana. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Thursday with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume at 11 a.m. to time of service on Friday. Words of comfort may be shared at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
