He was a native and longtime resident of Johnson Bayou and had lived in Port Arthur, Texas for several years before moving to Sulphur two years ago. Toby was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, had been a member of the Knights of Columbus, and was an ACTS brother. He enjoyed playing and watching basketball, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his siblings, Angela "Angie" Trahan and husband, Glenn of Johnson Bayou, Joni Bruks and husband, Ivars of Sulphur, Charles "Dusty" Sandifer and wife, Juanita of Johnson Bayou, Robin Sandifer of Sulphur, Veronica Conner and husband, Darrel of Many, and Scott Sandifer and wife, Jennifer of Singer; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his partner, Robbie McQuinn; his parents, Charles Wilmer "Hot Shot" Sandifer and Claudelle Courvelle "Pickie" Sandifer; and his nephew, Cole Sandifer.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
