Tomi Dean Bamburg Powers

Tomi was an avid reader and a loving daughter, mother, sister, and aunt. Tomi marched to the beat of her own drum and to know her was to love her! She will be missed deeply and never forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her son, Preston Dunn, mother, Ruby Irene Bamburg, grandmother, Susie Walker, brothers, Raymond Bamburg, Virgil Bamburg, and Roger Bamburg and his wife, Patsy, sister, Wanda Sue Musselwhite and her husband, Jackie, brother-in-law, Bruce Twigg, nephew, Christopher Shannon Nolen, a host of great-nephews and nieces.

Those left to cherish her memory are four sons, Jason, Quincey, Thomas, and Anthony Dunn, grandchildren, Gracie, Sariah, Haddy, Cloey, Dylan, Zachary, Lathan, Lillian, Riley, Brian, Aiden, Aslyn; sister, Peggy Hawrylak (Bill); sister, Elaine Stanley (Clifford); brother, Larry Bamburg (Dee Ann); sister, Rowena Strother (Charles); sister, Mary Nolen (Jerry); sister, Toni Twigg; nieces & nephews, Monica, Duke, Jackie Laverne "BoBo", Loretta, Jennifer, Malissa, Brian, Kimberly, Tanya, Warren, Michelle, J.R., Angela, Robin, Scott, Vanessa, Suzanne, Crystal, Amy, and Josh; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous cousins and other extended family members.

Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. on Monday and a Memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Pitkin, Louisiana with Bro. Daniel Holsomback officiating. Tomi will be laid to rest in Blue Branch Cemetery next to her beloved brother, Virgil at a later date.
