Voris proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict where he served two tours. After his time in the Army he worked in the oil fields operating heavy machinery. Voris also worked as a Security Guard in his later years. He loved watching all the animals on his small farm during the day, visiting with the family and friends that would stop by and loved yelling for ice cream, banana pudding, and something cold to drink.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Boris Jardneaux, parents, Voris Jardneaux, Sr. and Mary Morrow Jardneaux, brothers, John Jardneaux, Bernie Jardneaux, Louis Jardneaux, and sister, Ella Vincent.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Theresa Stelling and husband, Joseph and Lisa Vincent and husband, Daniel all of Sulphur; grandchildren, Amaya Dupre, Christian Payne, Daniel Vincent, Brenton Stelling, Devin Vincent, and Chloe Vincent; sisters, Bernice Dupre and Louise Ellender; brothers, Horace Jardneaux and Ivy Jardneaux all of Sulphur; Numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on January 2, 2021 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly, Louisiana.
