Billy, a Sulphur native, was a member of Houston River Baptist Church. He was a member of Tops Chapter 276 and of the Electricians Union. He loved music and yard work.
Survivors include his parents, Truman and Judy Stegall of Sulphur; brother, T.L. Stegall and wife Jenny; sister, Vonda Stegall; daughters, Kimberly Hebert and husband James, and Sarah Stegall; sons William Travis Stegall; granddaughter Meredith Paige Hebert; and nieces Katy and Kara Stegall.
In Lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to help with funeral expenses be sent in his name to Houston River Baptist Church, 110 Houston River Rd, Sulphur, La. 70663.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, December 10, in Houston River Baptist Church. The Rev. Lonnie Gothrup and Brother David Stone will officiate. Burial will be in Royer Cemetery in Sulphur under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday in the church.
