

Mr. Nichols was born in DeQuincy, LA and has lived the past 50 years in Sulphur, LA Mr. Nichols retired after 38 years with the Louisiana State Highway Department. After retirement he also worked part time with Lifetouch Studios. First and Foremost was his love for his personal Savior Jesus Christ followed by his love for his wife Donna. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and spending time at Toledo Bend with his family. Although he was a man of few words, he will be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father and "Popsie" to his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer and Ester Nichols. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 52 years, Donna; two sons, Clay Nichols of Sulphur and Kevin Nichols and wife, Tracey, of Sulphur; one brother, Alfred and wife, Marilyn Nichols of DeQuincy; and one sister Beverly and husband, John Puerta of DeQuincy; six granddaughters, Brittney Nichols, Krystal Terwilliger, Nikki Richard, Amber, Kaleigh, and Morgan Leger; four great grandchildren, Aaron, Kadence, Blayne Terwilliger, and Avery Leger.
Visitation will be from 6-9 Friday, May 11, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday, May 12, 2:00 at Houston River Baptist Church.
