Ann Houston

Ann Elizabeth Brodrick Houston 88 died peacefully on September 20th 2013. She was born in Oswego New York, on May 6th 1925. She graduated from Syracuse University and went on to recieve a Masters degree in Education from Oswego State Teachers College. She was married and raised her children in Syracuse until 1969 when the family moved to Largo, Florida. She enjoyed music and art and had a real flair for always looking beautiful. In her latter years she worked at Largo Library in Largo Florida and made many good friends. Her lovely Irish smile went west to live in Phoenix AZ where she spent most of the reminder of her life. She is survived by her long -term companion, Alex Cota of Phoenix, her children, Bob Halligan and wife Linda of Syracuse , N.Y. Mark Jensen and wife Pam of Sumner WA, Jeffery Jensen of Denmark, Eric Jensen of Phoenix AZ and her only daughter Krista Ojeda and husband Luis of Phx. Az and Puerto Peñasco Mexico. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was lovingly cared for by Mark and Pam Jensen for the last 5 months of her life in Sumner WA. Our family would like to extend our appreciation for Hospice, they were like family to our mom. Her smile lit up any room, and we will miss her dearly. Private services will be held in Sumner WA on Wednesday Dec 4th at 10am at Calvary Church in Sumner.
