

Born in Newark, New Jersey on July 31, 1940, passed away in his Goldendale Home on May 22, 2012 after a long battle with illness. He was surrounded by his family who loved him dearly. Curtis moved to Puyallup, Washington where he met his wife of 50 years. They settle in Orting, Washington where they raised their five children. Curtis retired from the Boilermakers Union where he spent over twenty years working in the Puget Sound area ship yards. Curtis took on a second career as a boiler tender for the State of Washington at the Rainier School in Buckley. Curtis and his wife moved to Goldendale, Washington in 2003 where he enjoyed his retirement. Curtis had many loves, but none more than Jesus Christ and his family. Curtis also loved riding his motorcycle and family get together in Coulee Dam, Naches and throughout the Northwest. Curtis is survived by his wife, Janette; his daughter Autumn of McMinnville, Oregon; his sons Curtis of Puyallup, James of Bonney Lake, Les of Puyallup, and Eric of Anaconda, Montana. Curtis also leaves behind, his brothers; Irvin of Brooksville, Florida, Bradly of San Diego, California, and Bruce of Piscataway, New Jersey. He is also survived by 15 Grandchildren, four daughter in laws - Darlene, Debra, Debbie and Sheryl and one son in law. A memorial service will be held in honor of Curtis at the Washington Soldiers Home Chapel in Orting, Washington on Thursday May 31 at 11:00 AM, with reception immediately following.
