Gary Leroy Marple

Our husband, father and grandfather Gary L. Marple, 63, passed peacefully at home and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 26, 2013. Gary was born September 7, 1950 to Richard and Janett Marple in Lincoln, NE. Gary graduated in 1968 from East Valley High School in Yakima, WA. He then served with the US Air force from 1968 until his honorable discharge in 1976 where he also earned an AA in Wildlife Management. On September 12, 1970 he married his soulmate and love of his life, Bonnie Macias, in Yakima. Together they created a home in Edgewood, WA where they lived for 37 years and raised their two children, Marisa and Luke. In 2003, Gary retired from Consolidated Freightways in Seattle after 30 years of service, where he was also a member of the Teamsters Union Local No. 741. Presently, he enjoyed his captive audience as a shuttle driver for Larson Automotive Group where he worked for five years. Gary is preceded in death by Richard & Janett Marple. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie and children Marisa (Troy) Janet of Covington, WA, and Gary Lucas (Valerie) Marple of Edgewood, WA; grandchildren; Bella Marple, Henry Janet and George Janet and two brothers, Jim and Rick Marple. Gary’s smile, jokes and great laugh will be forever cemented in our hearts and memories. Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Edgewood Bible Church.
