Jon Richard Petersen

Jon is survived by his wife of 12 years, Jenifer Petersen, his 2 sons, Devon and Tyler, his father Arlie Petersen, sister Paula (Jerry) Hale, his nephew Jordan and niece Maggie.

Jon was born in Spokane Washington on August 10, 1969 to Linda and Arlie Petersen.

Jon attended Kentridge High School and graduated in 1988. Jon was in the navy from 1988 until 1992 and served on the USS Nimitz during Operation Desert Storm as a radioman. During his time in the service he traveled to many Pacific countries and the Middle East. Jon and Jenifer were married in 2003 and Devon was born 2005 and Tyler in 2007.

Jon enjoyed spending time outdoors mountain biking, camping and hiking. He taught his children his love of the outdoors.

Jon kept busy with various hobbies, the most current was modeling. He also enjoyed woodworking, RC cars and playing video games with his sons.

He is preceded in death by his mother Linda Petersen.

Services will be held at 2 pm August 5th, 2015 at Powers Funeral Home, 15124 Main Street, Sumner Washington. Viewing will be from 1pm to 2pm. Refreshments will be served after.
