Ruby L. Johnson

With a twinkle in her eye and a warm smile, Ruby L. Johnson captured the hearts of all who knew her. Born to Albert and Ida Bjerke on April 25, 1915 in Litchville, ND, she passed July 5, 2013 in Puyallup, WA.

Ruby attended high school in Litchville, ND where she soon met her husband James Arthur Johnson. After moving west, they resided in Tacoma and Puyallup, WA. Ruby worked for several years at Rhodes Department Store in Tacoma as a Sales Associate. She enjoyed working in her beautiful flower garden, her family, baking and was an active member at her church.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years (1936-1996), her parents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ruby is survived by daughters Lois (Ron) Hovey and Ivene Meers; grandchildren Holly Hovey, Todd Hovey, Tammy (Joel) Balmer, and Greg (Tami) Martin; and five great grandchildren.
