Claude Joe Smith, 72, of Sun City, Arizona passed away August 21, 2019. He was born on December 17, 1946 in Wichita, Kansas to Gerald and Ruby (Hammons) Smith. Claude spent the majority of his life in Sacramento, California. He was a devoted husband and father. Very out going and loved to meet and talk with people. Even as his health declined he did what he could to give back to his community by being involved as a volunteer bingo caller and working with the community HOA. He was preceded in death by his older brother Jerry Lee Smith. Claude is survived by his wife of 23 years, Gail; his children Bryan Smith, Mathew (Aimee) Paiva and Jason Paiva; his brother Dan (Janie) Smith; his grandchildren Dylan Smith and Ashlyn Watson; as well as his nephews Kevin Smith, Jeffrey Smith and Shawn Smith.
