Dennis Hewitson Pike, 89, passed away on June 8, 2015. He was born on March 12, 1926 in Golden, Colorado to Zebulon and Marion Pike. He was a U.S. Navy veteran in WWII. Dennis graduated from the University of Denver, working in the banking industry, and retiring to Arizona in 1973.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and brother Clifford Pike. Dennis will be missed by his wife, Hazel; daughter, Cynthia (Guy) Dobbins; grandson, Robert Parker, three great-grandchildren; brothers, Zebulon M. Pike and Edward Leroy Pike.
His laughter on and off the golf course was unmistakable. His love and devotion for his family was unparalleled. My mother will miss having her best friend of 67+ years by her side. I will miss my father, the source of my convictions and inspiration.
Burial with Military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Sunland Memorial Park, 15826 Del Webb Blvd, in Sun City, Arizona. The family will greet friends from 10:30-11 a.m. at Sunland Mortuary prior to the burial.
