Donald Stark Reagan

Donald S. Reagan, 92, entered the Church Triumphant October 22, 2017 in Phoenix, AZ. He was the son of the late George H. and Ida M. Reagan of Connellsville, PA. He attended Crawford Elementary School, Cameron Jr. High School and graduated from Connellsville High School, class of 1943. During World War II he served in the Army Air Corps from July 1943 through February 1946. In 1946 he married his high school sweetheart, Phyllis, of Dawson, PA in the First Christian Church, Connellsville, PA. They were married fifty-seven years. He attended Muskingum College, New Concord, Ohio. He was a fifty plus member of the James Cochran Lodge, #614, Free and Accepted Masons, Dawson, PA. In 1948 he was ordained as a ruling elder, First United Presbyterian Church (N.A.) of Connellsville, PA.

In 1950 the family moved to Phoenix, AZ where he had a thirty-three year career as an engineer with Mountain States/U.S. West Telephone Co. He was a sixty plus member of the First Presbyterian Church of Phoenix. In 1961, he was ordained a ruling elder, First Presbyterian Church (U.S.) of Phoenix, AZ. In 1968 he was elected Stated Clerk for the Synod of the Southwest for one term. In 1990, he was elected a commissioner to the 202nd General Assembly and served on the committee A Brief Statement of Faith – Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and brothers, John, Daniel and Harry. He is survived by a son, Don Scott and daughters, Mary Lynn and Phyllis Jean Oerkfitz, two grandchildren, Daniel J. Almaraz (Rickie Rosales) and Jennifer J. Fulton (Brady) and three great grandchildren.

A memorial service is planned for 1:00 pm Friday, December 8, 2017 at Westminster Presbyterian Church located at 4735 North 19th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona. A reception will follow in Fellowship Hall.
